Kim Doran, BSc, P.Eng., is the Director of Geoscience and Materials, leading a team of geotechnical engineers and materials testing technicians across central and western Canada. Her operational role is backed by over 10 years of experience providing geotechnical design and construction support for large construction projects as well as smaller local geotechnical design and construction projects. Her experience includes geotechnical design of embankments, ground improvement and foundation support. She has been involved in a wide array of slope stability projects from simple instrumentation and monitoring programs to comprehensive studies using slope stability models integrated with fully coupled seepage and stress analyses. Kim also has experience in site characterization, stratigraphic interpretation, and in the using of real time kinematic GPS survey equipment. She has completed a number of surveys across the province and has been involved in several site investigation projects including borehole drilling, soil characterization, soil sampling, instrumentation monitoring, as well as analysis of ground water levels and chemistry. Kim currently manages a team of engineers from the Saskatchewan SNC-Lavalin offices and has strong communication and project management skills.
