The Women’s Infrastructure Network will recognize two outstanding Canadian “Women in Infrastructure” in the following categories: Outstanding Leader and Emerging Leader. For the purposes of the 2025 WIN Awards, a “Woman in Infrastructure” is defined as a woman engaged in a role related to the provision of infrastructure needed for a country, region or organization to function properly.  This includes the entire spectrum of the industry, for example members of public agencies, infrastructure and pension funds, commercial and investment banks, law firms, financial advisory, architecture, design, engineering and construction firms, and any other roles required throughout the lifecycle of an infrastructure asset.

It is recommended that the statement of support be structured around the three nomination criteria (see specific Eligibility Criteria above for details.) Each reference letter should be one (1) page maximum.

d) CV/Resume

Provide a CV that demonstrates your full work and extracurricular experience including dates of employment and brief description of the role.

When listing volunteer or extracurricular experience, the CV should clearly indicate the type of role that the nominee holds, e.g., WIN Member vs. WIN Chair.

Where possible, list relevant infrastructure projects or assets and describe the role the nominee had/has on that particular project, the project value and the length of the nominee’s involvement.

If it is not readily apparent, please ensure the CV clearly articulates how certain work experience may or may not contribute to Infrastructure or an Infrastructure related sector, e.g., “Financing Associate at a Bank” needs to be further detailed to demonstrate applicable experience.

If applicable, include a link to the Nominee’s LinkedIn page within the CV.

e) Supplemental Materials (optional)

Supplemental materials may be included with the Nomination Form to support the content of the nomination (e.g. magazine / newspaper articles, screen shots of web content, special certificates of recognition, etc.).

Additional letters of support will not be considered as supplemental documentation.

Supplemental materials to be not more than five (5) pages in total.

3. Due Date: February 11th, 2025

Selection Process

The WIN Awards Nominations Committee will review all submissions for completeness, eligibility and to ensure that each nomination fulfills each of the nomination criteria for the applicable award category. The Nominations Committee will determine whether a nomination is complete and satisfies the eligibility & nomination criteria, and will provide a short list of nominations to a Judging Panel. The Judging Panel will review all of the short-listed submissions against the nomination criteria and determine a winner for the Outstanding Leader and Emerging Leader category.

The WIN Awards Nominations Committee reserves the right to not accept an incomplete nomination package or an application which does not satisfy the eligibility criteria.

The WIN Awards Nominations Committee and the Judging Panel reserves the right to withhold an award in either category.

In addition to selecting a winner in each of the Emerging Leader and Outstanding Leader categories, the WIN Awards Nominations Committee and the Judging Panel may give out a Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual who has made noteworthy and substantial contributions to the infrastructure sector and who has demonstrated exceptional mentorship and involvement in their community.
